Home is Where You Are

Hey there!  Let me catch you up a bit!  Daddio and I head down to Austin on Saturday and moved all of my stuff up to Dallas.  We were packing and moving machines!  Alas, we were so beat by the time we got home and unloaded the truck, ugh.  I was even tired Sunday morning.  So that's done!  DONE!  }B-D

I had a rockin' chest/triceps and ab workout yesterday!  Baby got back on bench after a long rest from it.  Going past 90 felt awesome.

DB Front and Lateral Raises, Military Presses (shoulder warm-up)
BB Flat Bench Press - 15, 3 x 12
Incline Flyes - 3 x 12
Uni-lateral Cable Flyes - 3 x 12x12
Skull Crushers - 3 x 12
Rope Pushdowns - 3 x 12
One-Arm Press - 3 x 12x12
Abs Circuit (3x):  Air Bikes, Toe Touchers w/plate, Russian Twists w/plate, Hanging Leg Raises.

Enough of the 12s, omg.

I spent most of the afternoon yesterday studying for my next exam (which is tomorrow).

This morning was pretty warm (about 80) and winds at 20 mph, gusts up to 27 mph.  I head out for a short run, and thanked God that I decided to keep it short.  Running downhill against these gusts of wind made me feel so robbed!  I was thankful to have the wind behind me on the way back home, though!  WHOOOSH!

Total distance:  3.5 miles

I head into my new town this afternoon to check out the public library and study more.  Can you say "perfection"?  It was quiet, peaceful, calming, and I breezed through chapters and notebooks of old notes preparing for what I will face tomorrow.  I decided to take a break for lunch, and knew that it was a short walk through town to a little soup and sammich places called "Spoons".

Now, I must say that this is usually a very busy restaurant, as it's in the middle of the Historic district of town.  I've been here several times, where a wait could be anywhere from 15-45 minutes.  Other parties have been seated before me when they literally walked through the doors several minutes later.  Can I look past this?  Yes!  Absolutely!  It was only a short walk from my study-cave!  The food is...okay.  It's stuff I could make at home, but again, let's look past this.  The hostess wasn't even there when I walked in, and many minutes later, she finally showed up, basically giving me a "You're such a pain in my arse" attitude.  She seated me without saying another word, and once again, many moments later, my server showed up.  Three words later, and I was eating my food.  No words later, and I was signing the check.  He had enough time to speak to all his other tables and was in in-depth discussions with another server (he even stood 10 feet from me, conversing with the other server, for four or five minutes, holding my credit card and receipt.  Uhhhhh...whhhaaaaa?!!!!).

Spoons Cafe on Urbanspoon

Psh, anyway.  With my tummy full of my turkey sammich and sweet potato fries, I headed back to the library for more studying.  It was then that I decided to walk around town a bit, snapping pictures so y'all could see my new home!

Um, how cute is this place?  This is downtown McKinney, about ten minutes from my house.  Good stuff!  I was planning on going to a new Yoga class this evening, but due to a huge thunderstorm, I decided to do some at home.  :)  Focused on balance poses and hamstring stretching.  Foam-rolling, shower, and bed sounds good for the rest of this day!  I hope y'all had an amazing weekend, and are all doing well!

XOXO!
